That's what the cats are up too these days. I think they have it right.

When I saw all four of our cats actually asleep in the same vicinity, I quick grabbed my camera. Its only when they are asleep that they can stand being near each other!

Meanwhile, my brother Mike was busy concentrating on winning a game in a galaxy far, far away...

I love the homey look of these photos.

In other news, I ordered a new pair of glasses yesterday and they are in the mail somewhere in Canada at this very moment. The company I ordered them from are really fast on the delivery; so they should be on my head either Wednesday or Thursday. How cool is that? I love buying stuff online. I'd buy everything online if I could, and have it shipped right to my front door. I do not enjoying going shopping. :)

The Great House Inspector

Sorry I haven't blogged in a while. I have a ton of pictures to post, and some really exciting things have been happening that I want to blog about. One of which is that Mom and I went to a photography seminar last week (it was a full day photography work shop). It was awesome!!! But that's an entire post of its own. For now I want to share the story of the great house inspector. I won't leave you in the dark. Or wondering what in the world I'm talking about. Well, I can't promise that much. :)

The last few days have been really crazy! You see, we are remortgaging our house which means (among many other things which are needless to the story) that a house inspector comes to your house to see how much its worth as opposed to when we first brought it. Since we wanted our house to worth more then originally, we have been fixing up, painting, and cleaning our hardest since we found out that this was happening. We only found out a few days prior to the appointment! So you can guess what it was like here; we were like unstoppable cleaning machines! We cleaned and fixed up the entire house in one day and then completely cleaned out our huge shop next door the other day. I personally think it was quite impressive, all we (most of all mom) accomplished. But I'm not here to brag about my family's impressive rising-to-the-challenge-ness (oops too late) but rather to tell you a funny story. Oh and also if you are planning to stop by our house anytime this coming year, this would probably be the most ideal time for us, thank-you. The house is spotless.

(Side Point: Yes I realise that the first picture runs completely contrary to what I've been boasting about, so please ignore that one.)

So that morning the house inspector was coming at 9 am, and I had forgotten to put away my breakfast dishes from earlier that morning (I had eaten quickly in my room). Then someone said he was pulling in the driveway and that's also the exact moment I noticed all these dishes lying around my otherwise spotless room, so I began to look frantically around in my closet for a place to hide them, and then I saw an empty shoebox. So I quick piled them in there, shut the lid, put the box with my other shoe-boxes and ran upstairs where everyone else was, right before he came in the front door. Whew.

Doesn't it look like there are actual planets in this above photo? Did I fool you, almost? I just think this is the coolest photo ever, because the top light really does look like Saturn! So I had to post it. I can almost pretend it is, for my own enjoyment. Oh how I wish I had a telescope! You know what they actually are though? Two street-lights from the parking lot next door. Weird huh?

But the rest of the pictures are completely accurate though, honest! That is the real Moon in them, promise. I didn't touch them up or anything.

These make me so happy. Aren't they just awesome?

Holding Down the Fort

Me in the Kitchen

So this morning I awoke to something very odd, something one never hears in this house in the morning, ever. Complete. Silence.

Four out of seven people in our house are something entirely foreign to me, something called, morning people?

That's when I knew. I was the only one well. (Wow I didn't mean that to sound so menacing!)

My little sister Lilly started to get a bad cold yesterday, and it seems to have passed to everyone else overnight. Saving me, and I think my Dad too, but he was off to work at seven this morning (actually that's the middle of night still, isn't it?) so I don't actually know his current status.

Today I accomplished quite a lot... besides also joining in on watching movies with everyone else, but you don't have to know that part right?..;). I did dishes, changed cat litter, cleared the table, made 38 sandwiches (roughly), took meds to people, cooked frys and sausages for supper, did more dishes and kept the cats from attacking each other in dangerous combat. :)

The Arrival of Number Four

Cat, that is. Just look at that sweet face? I love him.

He is still nameless, so for clarification we have termed him: Nameless.

Nameless arrival today, from a friend and is eight weeks old. My mom and my sisters and I are thrilled. My Dad is resigned. And my little brother? Well, as a nine year old boy, he doesn't seem to notice all that much so far. :)

And our other cats reaction to this little guy? They would very much like to attack us. All three of them are upstairs with their heads together conducting an evil plan. "This is the last straw. We attack at dawn."

We'll have to see how Nameless holds his own in this house, but I'm willing to bet he can. For instance, in just the first hour of his arrival he lived through some accidents which would likely have petrified any cat. But he took it quite nonchalant. First, he got stuck in a hole behind the dishwasher, which we forgot to block, then my sister Hannah accidentally dumped a container full of cold soup on top of him (she was putting it in the fridge and he got in the way), and lastly, I stepped on his toe. Oops. And that was just the first hour...

But he's none the worse for it. In fact he's a little adventurer. So I think he'll fit in just fine.
