Guest Blogger: A Camera for Moss

Hey World!
I'm Nora's kid sister, Lilly. But my middle name's Moss, and I like that better. So I will refer to myself by this name. I am thirteen at the moment, and have a great interest in art and writing. I have several books half written, and one finished, but the finished one isn't that great. Anyway, enough babbling. This post is called what it is because recently I got my first camera, and took it with us when we went to Toronto. Here are some examples of my handiwork (some of which are quite good, if I do say so myself).
Here's a photo of some dead guy (I can't remember his name) that was at the Royal Toronto Museum (ROM, for short). I took a photo of his toes sticking out of the cloth, too, but that one didn't work.
And one of a statue rolling it's eyes. A rare sight indeed. Anyway, it's a beautiful day outside, so I'll just put in one more photo.

A picture of our van from the C.N. Tower, of which I am proud of. My little camera has quite the zoom!
I'll write again soon, but I simply must get out into that sunshine!

Daily Life with the Salamander...

Does not involve a lot of action.. :) Literally, this guy never moves. Salamanders are nocturnal, though, and so I assume he moves around at night. He'd have too, to eat the worms in there and stay alive. But there's been a few times when I looked in the cage, where was quite late at night, and I still didn't see him moving at all. Maybe he only moves for one sole hour in the night. Talk about a lazy creature!

This is his cage, we just changed it for the second time. This time we made it much more exciting for him (the first time was mostly dirt), but he doesn't seem to be all that impressed.

I took these photos yesterday, because I noticed one of his feet were pressed against the glass. It was really funny.

When I first started taking pictures inside of the cage, this is what he did ^!

I took the leaf off him to take this close up shot.. I could tell he was freaking out a little, from the beep of the camera, so I didn't torture him any longer.

Isn't this cool? I love how bright his blue spots are, and his foot is awesome!

A Happy Sight...

Is this. It is the first thing I see each morning when I get up and open my door. Across from my door is the couch, and on the couch is my brother Mike, pouring over a Calvin and Hobbes book.

This morning I decided to hurry up and capture it. So I got the camera out and was able to take one photo before he noticed me. As you can see from the second photo ^, Mike does NOT enjoy having his picture taken! After waiting a minute for me to leave (naturally I did not) he give up, put the book down and continued on flipping through it.

Learning to read is hard work! ^

He so wants to read these comics, after seeing all of us laugh over them. Even though he can't read all the words yet, he still faithfully looks through the books each morning. He likes the pictures. Who wouldn't?

Mike is just on the brink of reading. Every morning (usually while I'm here blogging) Mom reads to him a chapter of The Hardy Boys. The books are quite funny to listen to!

This photo turned out so well ~ I love it! I forget what we were talking about, but it must have been funny!
